The Stage Technologies training department is offering introductory courses on automation and operator programming.
The courses are aimed at students of technical theatre, technical professionals who wish to expand their skills into automation and automation operators who would like to familiarise themselves with eChameleon techniques and the very latest in operating software.
Introduction to Automation and the eChameleon Suite, is ideal for beginners. The programme offers attendees a basic understanding of automation use and best practice, an understanding of terminology and architecture of automation systems, a basic understanding of eChameleon features and functionality, and an understanding of health and safety, as applied to stage automation.
eChameleon Suite Plotting and Programming, is ideal for those who wish to refresh their skills or take their programming ability to the next level. Trainers will demonstrate a step-by-step guided tutorial of setting up a basic show, plotting and show running techniques, best practices with eChameleon and the basics of advanced and complex plotting within eChameleon.

LAS VEGAS
Stage Technologies Las Vegas is offering a 3-day training course - 'An introduction to automation and the eChameleon suite'. The first session dates are August 1- 3 inclusive, with dates for last-quarter training sessions to be announced later in the year. This course is aimed at programmers and operators as well as professionals from other disciplines interested in learning the features of eChameleon software.
Utilizing Stage Technologies control interfaces, delegates will be given an opportunity to get hands on with eChameleon and learn some of the current techniques and principles used to plot and run some of the biggest shows in the world. eChameleon is the common software platform across all Stage Technologies control consoles, offering unrivalled ease of use, power and flexibility. It is the next generation of Chameleon software, simplifying the tried and tested concepts of its predecessors whilst enhancing the deeper functionality aimed at running the most demanding of performances. The software is easy to learn and fast to operate, making eChameleon suitable for all scales of automation systems, from small school theaters to the largest of casino shows.
The 3-day course will cover the fundamentals of automation in entertainment: how, where and why we use it, the basics of automation theory and all the steps required to build and plot a show within eChameleon. Trainers use a combination of media including presentations, videos and working examples to make the learning experience as effective as possible.

• Good understanding of eChameleon features and functionality
The course will be held in the Cirque du Soleil Training Center in Las Vegas, Nevada and will be limited to the first 10 applicants. Pricing is $1,200 per applicant which includes coffee, refreshments and a light lunch (note: accommodation must be organized by individual delegates).
