Pink rocked her audiences around the world on her 2009 ‘Funhouse’ Tour with performer flying thanks to Stage Technologies rental equipment. Starting in June 2010, a Stage Technologies performer flying rig has also been used in the Funhouse Summer Carnival tour, which stopped off at six major open-air concert venues across the UK before moving on to Europe. The entire system for the Carnival tour is SIL3 and uses the very latest joystick programming techniques first introduced at ELVIS™ by Cirque du Soleil.

At the 52nd Grammys held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, a Stage Technologies system transported Pink to higher heights as she sang ‘Glitter in the Air’. Pink was lifted above the stage in a white silk sling and three silk performers accompanied her acrobatic feats. The rigging system dipped her into a pool and lifted her out in a series of spins and a spray of water. The equipment was also used to help add an extra dimension to her rendition of the Top 20 hit ‘Sober’ at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, where she was nominated for Best Female Video.

The modular systems comprised combinations of touring plug-and-play AU:tour racks and BigTow winches with Acrobat control.
