West End hire record for 10 shows

The Stage Technologies rental team is currently providing equipment for a record 10 shows in London’s West End - that’s nearly 1 in 4 West End shows!

The shows are a mix of long-running favourites and new 2011 releases: Shrek, The Wizard of Oz, Wicked, Lend me a Tenor, Much Ado About Nothing, Legally Blonde, Love Never Dies, Cause Célèbre, Les Misérables, and Million Dollar Quartet.

The longest production on the list, Wicked, has been using a Stage Technologies performer flying system and special stage engineering (such as Glenda’s bubble machine) since September 2006. It was voted 'Best West End Show' in 2010 and 2011 by theatregoers at the Whatsonstage.com awards.

The newest production, Shrek, which is still in previews, uses 4 AU:tour 6s and an AU:tour 1 with Acrobat∙G6 control to fly scenery and move scenic trucks.
