Stage Technologies and Delstar Engineering began working alongside each other on theatre automation projects in London’s West End during the early 1990s. Oliver!, Phantom of the Opera UK Tour, Copacabana, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Wicked, are just a few of the classic and successful theatre productions resulting from our collaborative involvement.
Stage Technologies and Delstar Engineering have worked together to install permanent automation systems in prestigious and iconic venues, such as The London Coliseum (English National Opera), The Royal Opera House, The Royal Festival Hall and Leicester's Curve Theatre. We have also designed and manufactured theatre automation solutions side by side for high-profile global projects and sophisticated cruise ship theatres.
Having recognised the strong synergy between Delstar’s design and manufacturing capability and Stage Technologies’ core automation business, and a potential for more cost-effective services, a merger of the two companies took place in 2008.
A key benefit of the partnership is that both companies can offer turnkey design, stage equipment manufacture and installation solutions for the largest of international venues, as well as modular services where only specific elements of expertise are required.
