London Support Engineer

 

Stage Technologies Support Department is looking for an Automation Engineer to support our growing number of shows and installations in and around London. 

The successful candidate will be trained on all Stage Technologies automation platforms and will provide support to our customers, assistance with productions, testing of new equipment and general electrical maintenance.

The post will be based in our Neasden office and will include evening work 5 nights of the week (up to 10.00pm) and some weekend shift work.

The candidate will have a good level of electrical knowledge and computer skills and be able to work with minimal supervision.


Graduate Engineers

We have opportunities for Graduate Engineers to work primarily on project planning, administration and procurement. This would be a great starter role for anyone interested in moving into engineering design and manufacturing in the long term. The successful applicant will apply their engineering skills to assist in the co-ordination in the production of a diverse range of electrical, electronic and mechanical equipment being used in rock concerts, opera houses and theatres around the world.

We are looking for recent graduates who have good degrees,a commercial bias and technical knowledge, coupled with excellent communication and organisation skills and the ability to work  on their own.

The positions will be based in London or Haverhill, near Cambridge.


Junior Electronics Technician (Las Vegas)

Based in Las Vegas we are looking for a full time technical support assistant who will assist in the support operations of a growing Stage Automation company.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:  managing the stock inventory, wiring, assisting with the setup and testing of equipment, and basic troubleshooting of control systems.  The ideal candidate would have an interest and understanding of electrical or electronic engineering, and the ability to read a basic electrical schematic would be an advantage, also a knowledge of theatrical rigging and automation systems.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Be self-motivated and be able to work unsupervised.
  • Able to follow instructions accurately.
  • Be organized and detail oriented.
  • Able to multi-task, organize and prioritize work.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Access, Microsoft Project).
  • Have a valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Be able to track, update and create Inventory lists, and create timed status reports for the support manager.

Automation/Control Engineer

Stage Technologies are internationally renowned leaders in the supply of engineering solutions for the entertainment industry. We are looking for an Automation/ Control Engineer to be based from our London office.

The successful applicant will complete project engineering of control systems from initial design through to final commissioning on site. Commissioning phases will often involve overseas travel. Stage Technologies systems are primarily motor driven motion control (servo and induction) and knowledge and experience with similar systems will be a considerable advantage.

We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, as the candidate will be working closely with the mechanical and electrical design teams.  The right applicant will have the willingness and ability to work either alone or within a team to achieve project objectives.  They will be practical, methodical and a proven problem solver when faced with new challenges and situations.   

You will be able to read, understand and modify electrical schematics, have experience with PLC programming, preferably Siemens step 7, Simotion and WinCC, and be proficient with MS office. It would be desirable to have experience with Fieldbus communications and knowledge of higher level programming languages.

The candidate will have a good degree in electrical/electronic engineering, mechatronics and at least 2 years' experience in an automation/ controls engineering role, and be able to work with minimum supervision.

Software/Electronic Development Engineer

This role will facilitate the production and maintenance of control interface equipment, providing the expertise which enables existing product-lines to be manufactured, and serviced, and developing new equipment. Involved in the design and fault-finding of company equipment the role will require a high-level of technical competence along with an enthusiasm and ability to work with a multi-disciplined team of engineers.

The successful candidate will have a degree in software or computer science, electronics skills, and the ability to lead cutting-edge development and electronic hardware design with an aptitude for problem solving.

Desirable: Knowledge of any of Microsoft .NET framework /C# or XAML / Windows Presentation Foundation / SQL / Sybase /   Visual Studio 2008 and 2010/ Microsoft PRISM 4 /Windows XP Embedded and Windows 7 Embedded.

You will be helping to set up staff profiles, assisting with market research and updating the company database, simple website work and general administration.

You will be computer literate, have some experience with photoshop and powerpoint, be a good communicator, and have a personable manner. An interest in marketing or theatre would be an advantage.
