More info...The successful applicant will complete project engineering of control systems from initial design through to final commissioning on site. Commissioning phases will often involve overseas travel. Stage Technologies systems are primarily motor driven motion control (servo and induction) and knowledge and experience with similar systems will be a considerable advantage.
We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator, as the candidate will be working closely with the mechanical and electrical design teams. The right applicant will have the willingness and ability to work either alone or within a team to achieve project objectives. They will be practical, methodical and a proven problem solver when faced with new challenges and situations.
You will be able to read, understand and modify electrical schematics, have experience with PLC programming, preferably Siemens step 7, Simotion and WinCC, and be proficient with MS office. It would be desirable to have experience with Fieldbus communications and knowledge of higher level programming languages.
The candidate will have a good degree in electrical/electronic engineering, mechatronics and at least 2 years' experience in an automation/ controls engineering role, and be able to work with minimum supervision.
